A relative neophyte when it comes to media, David Edemeka has quickly become a jack-of-all-trades in the realm of production. Driven by the desire to capture moments and highlight people that pique his interests, he took measures to educate himself in the myriad facets of content creation. David started his media education at BRIC Brooklyn Free Speech and has steadily familiarized himself with many aspects of television studio production workflows. Whether behind or in front of a camera (preferably behind), on set or in the control room operating the sound board or manning live production switcher, David demonstrates a level of versatility that is rarely witnessed. A recent graduate from of the first cycle of the Made in NY Post Production Training Program David is currently focusing his talents to pursue his aspirations in the post-production industry.
David volunteers his time and experience to help members of his community produce their own content and accomplish their goals in media and entertainment. Born and raised in Brooklyn, he is proud to showcase his community and is currently hosting and producing a project he created called Brooklyn We Made It, a show that promotes Brooklyn “Creatives”—allowing them to share their personal stories and display their works on platforms other than their own. David strives to bring together people and connect those who may not interact under normal circumstances, but are best suited to augment each other’s strengths. As a firm believer that opportunity should be exclusive to no individual, he is eager to share his knowledge and access to resources with those he comes into contact with.
In the spirit of collaborating to achieve excellence, David has partnered with his cherished friend Melody Fox, the seasoned producer and entertainment personality. Marrying his diverse talents with her proven expertise in media creation, David contributes to the Real Conversations with Melody Fox talk series as editor, associate producer and videographer.
Note: David “Blue” Edemeka is for-hire for other special projects.
